Update:
Local News Story on the White Stripes about their Canadian Tour, and the show I'll be attending. On a more positive note, the White Stripes recently announced a Canadian tour, and they're playing Halifax. This type of thing is amazing, as most popular bands don't come east of Montreal.
More amazing yet, they're playing an amazing amount of venues, hitting up smaller areas that never see major US talent.
And even more amazing than that, they're playing the Savoy Theatre in Glace Bay, a 700 seat theatre in Cape Breton (in Nova Scotia, and a 4 hour or so drive from where I am). Better still, they've announced that will be the location of a special, 10th Anniversary Show for the White Stripes.
They annouced that presale tickets would go on sale Monday at 10am Eastern, so I was refreshing the site on Monday every 10 minutes starting at 9 Eastern to score tickets. At 10 to 10, I noticed that they were up for purchase, and scored a ticket in the front row. My friends literally signed on 5 seconds later and got 4th row. There were only a total of 60 presale tickets, and they were sold out in about 5 minutes.
So basically I'm excited a shit. Not sitting with my friends, but front row is still pretty cool. Now I have to go buy some red, white and black clothes.
And in the sad new, Moby passed away on Saturday on the way home from a vet checkup from a heart attack, although those who read the last update are aware. I'm still missing him so I thought I would post his pictures again. Love you Moby - have fun in kitty heaven.
