So this Sunday we're probably getting a hurricane or the remnants of it. The last one that hit - Hurricane Juan - was only a catergory 1 I think and it knocked out power for 5 days or more...
Your lucky to have gotten the remnants were I live we get the full blown hurricane. Yikes which is why I ask why am I living in Florida. Back in 2004 I went through 3 storms in a row all cat 1-4.
This one was nothing - stayed on the same track but it was just tropical storm remnants at that time. Lots of wind and rain, but I didn't have to do much more than take the lawn furniture off the deck.
'Juan' arrived in Halifax 10 days after I did. What a party that was (and then experiencing 'White Juan' as an encore...)!
Remnents of Gustav came swinging through, here in the Nickle Belt, this past week...nothing compared to those Maritime storms!
Ciao!
