Kitty and M3 Update

Journal Entry: Thu Mar 15, 2007, 12:41 PM

Another M3 update.  This one's going to take a while - damn Bangle and his flame surfacing!  It makes for very complex shapes which can be difficult to render in Illustrator.  Only one gradient mesh so far, in the lower part of the door.  It looks simple, but it was difficult to get it to look right without using a gradient mesh.

As for my cat, he's been officially diagnosed with "megacolon", which the colon has been stretched beyond repair.  It still functions, but it's muscle power is now limited and he'll require continued medication for the rest of his life.  I feel bad for him, but at least he's ok.  Pills stress me out though - he's very finicky with them.  I have to keep changing the food I hide his medication in or he'll refuse to eat it.

Our cats won't eat food with tabs in it. They eat around them. It has to be the avoiding-teeth-and-claws-kinda-force-feeding method.

One of ours is on permanent meds for arthritis. It's in drops and she seems to like the taste so that's a bonus.

yeah - mine doesn't do so well with pills either. Right now I take a crunchy cat treat, wet it, crush it and squash it into a semi-crunchy paste. Smoosh it around the pill and it he eats it as if it were a treat and the crunchiness hides the pill so he won't spit it out...

Quite the process though.

I hope he can deal with it :(
I just took the cone off my Kitten last night, he had it for a month. Got him fixed, declawed and a hernia repaired.
