It's really choppy and suuuuuper scribbly because I took like 30 seconds to draw each frame. Please fill in the gaps and gloss over the art with your wonderful imagination! I made it in Windows Movie Maker which is an absolutely evil program =o=

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Just trying to set the CSS template for a journal look.  IN CONSTRUCTION.</i>

Don't mean to have so many updates as of late.  Just thought this was really cool and I wanted to post it...  It's <a href+"[link]">U2 singing about the Springhill (NS) mining disaster.  Thought it was cool that they're singing about something so obscure and local.

Other than that, not much is new.  I'm not sure of life without happy medicine (aka antidepressants) is working or not.  I'm finding myself more stressed, anxious, and angry.  And depressed at the odd time.  I guess I really don't know how to deal with things, and I think that's the main problem.  I don't like taking things to mask that as I don't know if it's treating the root of the problem, but I dunno.  I guess I'll give it a little longer.

Also - I'm stuck as to what to be for Halloween.  Last year I was a Picasso painting, and I would like to be another but I'm stuck as to what to be.  I thought it would be really cool to go as a bust of my head, but I don't know how I'd make the neck part look right.  I think I'm just going to end up being a zombie...
