So I attempted a vector of a David Lynch pic and it looked like poo, so I thought I would try my hand at digital painting with my tablet and stylus. This is third drawing I've done (technically second - I stopped one partway through), and I was trying for something kind photorealistic this time as opposed to a cartoonish sketch). Stuck to a grayscale B&W colour scheme.
I have to say I enjoy it more than I thought I would. Going in I thought I might find it irritating or not similar enough to physically using a pencil/brush on paper/canvas. But in the end it's kind of cool - it reminds of painting, but the paint permanently stays fluid and workable.
Anyway, I have the main drawing down but want to add some extra stuff so it'll be a while yet. Unless the extra stuff looks like crap, and I'll just upload what I've done so far.
This also my first piece of "fan art". I was taken by a pic of him in the Huffington Post, and I admire him so I thought I'd use it for reference.
Also, I'm sick and hate being sick. Hopefully it goes away soon. I kind of sound like a supervillian today. Or Batman.
