A poster design for a friend's short film. This isn't originally what I planned, but I did this up after being inspired to go another direction part way through.

I was given a photo to work from, and thought I would go the illustrated route. I vectorized it, keeping to a B&W colour scheme initially (I was thinking of making it colour afterward). But I ended up liking it, and added the red background for colour and threw some typography in there. I'm waiting to see what he thinking - I sent this to him mainly as a proof for the style of the illustration, with the option of keeping the poster as is.

For more info on the writer/director/actor/comedian, see this link: www.pardisparker.com

That's Pardis to the left in the photo. To the right is the hilarious Colin Mochrie.

Very nice looking poster in a classical manner (face to face, A vs B)
I like your B/W choice. Are any other movie posters planned?

I also did this like 10 years ago... [link]

Ironically also red, black and white.

Yeah, I meant more posters to this one. I can see that the answer is affirmative)
As for red, black and white these are always my fav color choice). So I like that work either!

For other movies, or alternate versions of this? I'm waiting to see what he thinks of this before I go another route.

I like it. Just did my first vectorized face, the other day, so I understand exactly what was involved :)

Nice work.
