It's acrylic - I've never tried oil, but want to. Thanks very much for the kinda comments!
I wouldn't say that paintings are less popular than digital arts; certainly, a lot more people are discovering Photoshop and Painter, but I expect it's just that a lot more digital work gets shown on DA because it's hard scanning/photographing real media so it looks nice!
Also, I dunno, I guess "paintings" with digital media are pretty much the same as real paintings--they take similar amounts of time, effort, and brain-cells.

The colors are marvelous and I myself enjoy every aspect of it, including the grass, but most especially the cat.
