Our Lady Peaceby ~CRWPitman

Back in the mid-90's, I loved the band "Our Lady Peace". After their first couple albums I grew more tired of them, but not before trying my hand at coloured pencils using them as a basis. I loved this group shot of them - both the colour and the composition. I didn't realize how hard it was to use coloured pencils - and how hard it was physically as well (to blend colours). This is one of two coloured pencil pieces I've created.

Wow this brings back so many memories. Steve Mazur's a good guitarist but Mike Turner was a great guitarist and I really miss his solos.

Hey, I remember OLP...they used to be a pretty cool band

Nice drawing. It definitely looks like it's incredibly difficult to do stuff like this, which is why I'm sticking to digital landscaping

wow, that's coloured pencil? Great work! I love the shading and the composition of it is nice and all the colours work well together. Never heard of the band though

They're Canadian... I liked them when they first came out, but main singer has a high pitched voice that eventually became irritating when they got a lot of radio play. The same way that I wouldn't be able to listen to Blink 182 a lot. But I'm probably just weird... haha

I think they had a song on the Armaggedon soundtrack way back when. Chantal Kerviazuk sung "Leaving on a Jet Plane" on it as well - who is also Canadian and married to the lead singer of this band.
