Another one I did while waiting for a video rendering to be finished at work. I'll complete the Taunus illustration soon - I deverged from it as I usually do other ads at work while rendering, and I use Photoshop to make them so I would just make this in between ads. I would work on the Taunus, but then I'd have to open up Illustrator...

So anyway, here it is. 5 hours in Photoshop maybe. Kinda crappy but whatever.

nice, major imporvement over the last one, the toned down noise on the metal work works much better. Like it ;)

I think it's good. Especially the plastic look for the windows.

Hehe, this is awesome. I once did a tutorial to make Micro Machines cars, (small cars, extra-gigantic-huge wheels) If you get the time you should think about making a tutorial for this, I mean, it just looks so real!

This is good but I liked your Caliber better. I actually once sent Mattel a list of cars I thought they should produce ... the response was less than positive. Would you be so kind as to Mattelify a '96 Chevy Impala SS? (If you get the time, that is. If not, I understand. Unlike me, you have a life.) I've wanted to see a Hot Wheels Impala for sooooo long!

I have one in 1:64 by (I believe) Revell-Monogram, and I've seen one by Johnny Lightning (but that one is just a repainted Caprice and painfully obvious as such). To my knowledge, Hot Wheels has never had one in their basic lineup.

a repainted caprice, all you have to look for is the spoiler, paint doesnt mean anything. thats kinda lame, it must be some lisencing issuel the 96 is popular enough that by now, i would imagine hotwheels would have made one.

Seriously, the JL casting was not changed at all from the Caprice. No spoiler, same Caprice grille ... just decals and 5-spoke wheels. The box said Impala SS, and it came with an Impala card, but they were just too lazy to modify the molds to get it right and hoped no one would notice. I hate that about Johnny Lightning. Sometimes they make really incredible cars ... and sometimes they make utter crap.
