As much as I don't approve of SUVs and DaimlerChrysler putting huge thirsty V8s in everything right before an oil crisis, you have to give them credit for the insane performance numbers they're putting out for (relatively) inexpensive cars. The last of these is the Charger SRT8. Personal I think the Charger looks better than it's sister's the Magnum and the 300C, and in SRT8 form I think it looks absolutely evil. Sure - it's huge and thirsty - and is blatantly ripping off a classic Dodge name, but it also has 425hp/420 Ib-ft torque in this form. Dodge used the name for it's family sedan because it's recognizable and at the same time sort of tarnished the Charger name. But if they make versions like this, I think they've proved the spirit still lives. Plus DaimlerChrysler is at least keeping American car design alive - something GM has to learn to do (although Cadillac is reviving) and Ford is starting to learn.
So in appreciation of all that, here's my vector version. I felt the stock car rode a little high, so I pushed the wheels up into the wheel wells a bit more.
In my opinion the the newest concept of the Camaro and of course the 300C's are a little bit more classy than the Charger. I used to adore the new concept, but after I caught glimpse of the Camaro and the Challengers I was like, 'Those cars can't even get on that level.' But, this is a wonderful image, everything seems perfect, but you should try more glossy colors. Candy Apple Red might do good, or maybe a Midnight Blue. [nod]
I want to invite you to our group for vector artists here: [link]
