Qwazy for QOTSA

Journal Entry: Thu May 15, 2008, 8:16 AM
The Queens of the Stone Age came to Halifax the night before last. It was awesome. Well - mostly. The Cunard Centre - a refurbished dock warehouse, is kinda a crappy venue for people under 6' 5". It's long and narrow and the acoustics suck if you're too far away. We luckily we in a prime hearing area, but the stage is low and it's a standing, flat floor venue so you really can't see anything if taller people are standing ANYWHERE in front of you. So I got to see only 1/2 the concert, and of the 1/2 I could see I could only see Josh's shoulders and up. It was ok though.

Maybe I'll getting to old for it - the pushy drunk/high teenagers really piss me off. Maybe it was just the people around me - Bobby-Head McGee, the 6 foot big haired guy whose constantly moving head blocked a good 3 foot section of my sight, or Seizure Boy, who "dancing" needed a 6 foot radius to clear is flailing arms, head and feet. I was scared to say anything to him because when he wasn't seizing, he was standing perfectly still staring at the ground, looking like he was going to murder someone.

Concert was awesome all those facts aside though. And I have a new screen print poster for my collection. :)

Hmmm - not sure. Practice makes perfect, so don't get discouraged. For the rims, I find not skimping on the details helps.

your vector car designs are amazing. I'm currently doing a car vector (my first ever), any suggestions for getting a great turnout? Especially on the rims :-/

Thanks for letting me know! It's ok - you've given me credit, and it's a piece of the whole not the main focus.
